๐ข๐ธ Field of Exploration ๐
" A deep and living appreciation for the natural world - one that also includes humans and a profound awareness of our mortality and Sensory Processing Sensitivity informs my life, energy, and work.
My paternal grandparents have softly shared their horticultural skills with me since childhood, as I spent an essential part of the first fifteen years of my life with them in rural Alsace (France). Never forcefully, I contributed to theirself-sufficient lifestyle, in which they grew fruits, vegetables, herbs, tisane, nuts, saved seeds, and dyed with plants. My grandfather practised organic lunar phase gardening, focusing on permaculture. He introduced me to the work of farmer and philosopher Masanobu Fukuoka, who has been a vital inspiration in my life and practice. My observation and recollection of these times in the form of memories and integrated movements, along with gardening with my father as an adult and working on a biodynamic farm over four seasons, continue to shape my thoughts.
Key parts of my experimentation take place in rural Oxfordshire (England), on two allotment plots of which I have been a co-custodian since July 2021.
This page focuses on (my) ongoing holistic Field of Exploration through practice-based research - most of which occurs outdoors, through continuous (un)learning and international collaborations with people, non-human animals, soil, bacteria, time and elements.
Please contact me if you wish to collaborate or support this field. "

โWhile tisanes had been a part of my childhood, my interest in tea culture began in my early twenties with the desire to learn about and document transnational tea practices. This curiosity led me to the idea for the collaborative printed publication series Journal du Thรฉ - Contemporary Tea Culture, which Tilmann S. Wendelstein and I founded.
